Where've You Been?

Wow...it has been over 4 months since my last post...and I've been on the go! Here are a few of the highlights:

August/September:

  • Buffalo Irish Festival in Hamburg. Rainy day, but the guys sounded great!
  • Went on our annual vacation to Maryland. Took a road trip to Virginia Beach to meet up with our friends Tim and Lyanna. Stopped in Colonial Williamsburg on the way back.
  • Niagara Heritage Celtic Festival in Olcott, NY. Had too many Captian and Cokes and for the maybe the third or fourth time in the 6 years Chris has known me, was noticeably drunk. Even got the spins...and got sick. What a night!
  • Milford Irish Festival in Milford, CT. Great weekend despite the 8 hour road trip. Met some really nice people and enjoyed beautiful Connecticut!
  • Port Allegany Homecoming and a birthday party in Coudersport. This was a two-fer weekend. Sad to see just how few people go to the football games nowadays. Every time I go home, it seems to decline more and more. Definitely not the same as when I grew up there!
  • Rochester NY for family visits and a celebration of Gretchen's 30th birthday! Good times!
  • Pumpkinville and a visit from our friends Shon and Angel! It was going to be an ambitious night, but Shon and Chris ate nearly 200 shrimp between them at Red Lobster's Shrimp Fest. We went to be earlier than we'd planned, but all in all it was a great time!
  • Wednesday, October 22...first snow! Ok, not really...it didn't stick, but I saw flakes!

Other than that, I've spent probably 10 hours or more a week buried in online news sites reading nothing but politics. I watched all the debates, and of course it is no secret that I want Obama in office! Keep your fingers crossed! I have to say that because despite double-digit leads by Obama, you never know what those shady Repugs will do next! Normally, I'd have blogged all of their dipshit moves, but I've been sick of the rhetoric since summer, and found blogging about it was just a waste of time.

Just stay informed...and ROCK THE VOTE!

PEACE OUT! :)
